La Mode 1800's ladies magazine from Paris illustrates a 1863 design in shades of pink and white. A feminine gown that typifies the Civil War Era. A beautiful drape in the bodice makes this an unique and historically accurate design. This custom made design includes full skirt and bodice. Beautifully made with silks but truly gorgeous in cotton and chintz's.
I use authentic patterns, duplicates from different era's. I also design my own. As of this date my work has been used in plays abroad, musical productions and reenacting. There is no compromise on authenticity and construction. Only the highest quality fabrics are used. Each piece is sewn carefully and finished as if it were a wedding dress. Perfect for adding Sweet Romance jewelry. My goal is that each item reflects it's individuality with great craftsmanship...nothing rushed...details however small that captures someones eye and turns their head to admire...I believe my gowns will make you feel amazing and my customers will make my gowns look beautiful!!!
You will receive a detailed measurement chart and will need to have a experienced seamstress assist with your measurements. As soon as I receive your measurements a mock bodice will be made and mailed to you to try on. Any adjustments will be made if needed. When final measurements are approved by you, your gown will be completed in three weeks. It will be shipped priority mail with insurance and delivery confirmation.
Garments are sewn on a first come basis. Due to the amount of work that this gown requires, three weeks will be needed to complete it. Fabric choice may vary due to availability. On occasion an additional cost may incur due to fabric preferences.
Warm Regards, Mary
