Reminscient of another era...Beautiful layers fashioned into a Civil War gown that reflects the very heart of 1800's fashon. The creative elements of this design remind me of the classic movie Gone With The Wind. Gathered layers... antique style lace and stains come together in the perfect 1800's day dress or evening attire. Ideal for window shopping and lunch . . . or a romantic picnic on a boat. Yards of lace and ruffles describe an age of elegance and the well dressed woman of the day. Lavish black satin ribbons accent the design ... Quarter length sleeves are heavily adorned with additional lace and ruffles. Antique styled lace undersleeves complete the ensemble. The bodice closes in the back with hook and eyes. This gown will require additional yardage to give the fullness to the layers of ruffles. A crisp cotton would be perfect for day wear...dressier fabrics would be appropriate for evening attire or dinner.I use authentic patterns, duplicates from different era's. I also design my own. As of this date my work has been used in plays abroad, musical productions and reenacting. There is no compromise on authenticity and construction. Only the highest quality fabrics are used. Each piece is sewn carefully and finished as if it were a wedding dress. Perfect for adding Sweet Romance jewelry. My goal is that each item reflects it's individuality with great craftsmanship...nothing rushed...details however small that captures someones eye and turns their head to admire...I believe my gowns will make you feel amazing and my customers will make my gowns look beautiful!!!
