A picture of summer gardens...picnics by the lake...and southern barbeque's...The design depicted in the 1863 magazine is feminine and flattering...but the touch of something special lies in the gorgeous fabric that has a garden of sunflowers scattered across it. Trying to find a fabric just like this may take time, but will certainly be something I continue to look for...yet creating another gown in a floral pattern with rose shades...blues...apricot or plums hues would be as elegant. The bodice to this design sits slightly off the shoulder with gathered sleeved hidden underneath. A lovely draped collar has delicate lace accenting it. The bodice will close in the back with hook and eyes. The skirt has two layers that are heavily gathered to add fullness. A beautiful sash ties and adds length to the design. A picture perfect gown for reenacting!! Your bodice will be heavily boned and lined for your support and comfort Each closure will have covered buttons or hook and eyes. The girth on the skirt will be an extra full two hundred and fifty inches. I use authentic patterns, duplicates from different era's. I also design my own. As of this date my work has been used in plays abroad, musical productions and reenacting. There is no compromise on authenticity and construction. Only the highest quality fabrics are used. Each piece is sewn carefully and finished as if it were a wedding dress. Perfect with Sweet Romance jewelry. My goal is that each item reflects it's individuality with great craftsmanship...nothing rushed...details however small that captures someones eye and turns their head to admire...I believe my gowns will make you feel amazing and my customers will make my gowns look beautiful!!!
