Just when I imagine I have discovered all the designs that I would like to include in my repertoire for custom orders, I find another one that I cannot resist. An 1866 design that eludes amazing grace, femininity and elegance. Satin or silks are gathered into gorgeous rows upon rows of ruffles. The combination of two magnificent over skirts in contrasting fabrics is stunning. The bodice buttons down the front with a square neckline and is accented with a lace insert. The sleeves are espeshially pretty with adorned with a ruffle. Additional lace and gathered ruffles accent the ensemble. To bring the gown into a dressier version the lace insert could easily be removed. A Soft...feminine..intriguing. A perfect ball gown with abundant accents. Suggested fabrics are silk, satin, dupioni silk, organza and moire.
The bodice will be boned and lined for your support and comfort Each closure will have covered buttons or hook and eyes. The girth on the skirt will be an extra full two hundred and fifty inches.
I use authentic patterns, duplicates from different era's. I also design my own. As of this date my work has been used in plays abroad, musical productions and reenacting. There is no compromise on authenticity and construction. Only the highest quality fabrics are used. Each Civil War era gown is sewn carefully and finished as if it were a wedding dress.
My goal is that each item reflects it's individuality with great craftsmanship...nothing rushed...details however small that captures someones eye and turns their head to admire...I believe my gowns will make you feel amazing and my customers will make my gowns look beautiful!!!
