I wonder what women saw this gown in the Godey Peterson magazine around the 1800's and dreamed about wearing it to a ball...play....reception for a political figure...engagement announcement. I can imagine that somewhere in time a woman slipped into this breathtaking gown and looked absolutely stunning!
The design shown is made out of watered silk with heavy lace emblishments and black bow accents. The bodice will close in the back and be boned and lined. The wide lace sash across the bodice will have hand sewn Austrian crystals throughout the design ...lace inserts, tucks and pleating. Under-sleeves will be of a contrasting shade (the ivory is beautiful) The skirt is truly amazing.... I may sound redundant, but it is really a masterpiece of design from the 1800 time period. I would love to create the lace panels that will stand out as masterpieces of craftsmanship! This design is simply breathtaking and would be a gown sure to be remembered by all who see it! Due to the hand sewing (Austrian beading) this gown will take additional time to make.
The girth on the skirt will be an extra full two hundred and fifty inches. I use authentic patterns, duplicates from different era's. I also design my own. As of this date my work has been used in plays abroad, musical productions and reenacting. There is no compromise on authenticity and construction. Only the highest quality fabrics are used. Each piece is sewn carefully and finished as if it were a wedding dress. Perfect with Sweet Romance jewelry. My goal is that each item reflects it's individuality with great craftsmanship...nothing rushed...details however small that captures someones eye and turns their head to admire...I believe my gowns will make you feel amazing and my customers will make my gowns look beautiful!!!
